CMCE Lightning Suppressor: Proven Protection Against Lightning Strikes

CMCE Lightning Suppressor: Proven Protection Against Lightning Strikes

When it comes to safety, prevention is always the best option—especially with lightning. The CMCE Lightning Suppressor doesn’t redirect lightning; it prevents it from forming in the first place. Backed by lab tests and real-world data, this innovative technology is changing the way we think about lightning protection.

How the CMCE Works – And Why It’s a Game-Changer

Unlike conventional systems that wait for lightning to strike, the CMCE actively neutralizes the electrical field, eliminating the chances of lightning strike formation. This was put to the test in a controlled laboratory environment simulating storm conditions using an impulse generator and artificial cloud setup—according to European Standard EN 21186.

During the test, 50 high-voltage shots were fired. The result? The traditional Franklin lightning rod attracted every strike, while the CMCE remained untouched—balancing the electrical field and preventing lightning altogether.

But that’s not all.

Researchers pushed the device further with 29 more high-voltage shots, climbing to an extraordinary 840 kV. Even then, the CMCE suppressed lightning formation—with just one fault induced for stress testing. And even after that, the device resumed normal, strike-free operation.

Measurable Safety, Backed by Science

The CMCE's discharge time to ground was recorded at 139.417 microseconds—a critical metric used to calculate its radius of protection. This means you can trust the CMCE Lightning Suppressor to protect a wide area when properly installed, whether for homes, industrial sites, or marine vessels.

Real-World Impact: Satellite Data Doesn’t Lie

Beyond the lab, the CMCE is proving its value across the globe. From the United States to Panama, NASA satellite data has shown a dramatic drop in lightning activity after CMCE installation—especially in zones that were previously high-risk. In one standout case, the AES Panama photovoltaic plant reported no disruptions and equipment failures post-installation.

With the CMCE, you gain peace of mind knowing your property and electronics are protected for years to come.
